Also noteworthy for Brabus wheels with green details and the ‘Ushuaïa’ logo. In the case of the coupe model, it also incorporates a panoramic glass roof with parasols. Standard will feature LED lights for daytime running, rear lights with light emitting diodes, antinebline headlights, plus rain and light sensors.

If we take a look at the images of the interior again the details appear green. The air vents, dashboard and the seat cushioning of the seats also rely on the presence of this key.

With the aim of creating ‘an exclusive sports car for the city’ Brabus staff presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 the new Brabus Ultimate E Concept. This is a flashy prototype with which the German coach goes into sustainable mobility to see if a smart electric can have the character needed to offer a sporting image.

Aesthetically, the new Brabus Ultimate E Concept comes with an exterior where the yellow ‘Brabus Widestar Yellow’ predominates, which contrasts with several exterior elements with black finish and some stickers on both doors. On its side, the new 18-inch alloy wheels in black and with yellow details bring a very interesting air to the set.

On the other hand, the rear shows three false exhaust ports in the center position. Its function is quite curious since they can be illuminated. All this adds up to the roof spoiler and a custom suspension that changes the height of the body from the ground.

Leaving aside the exterior, and taking a look inside, we found a very attractive cabin. For the leather upholstery a blue ‘Brabus Mastik’ color was chosen, which contrasts with the yellow trim and other black finishes. The combination of these three colors allows you to create an environment that, in principle, may seem very overwhelmed.

Adjustments like the aluminum pedals and the levers of change and hand brake of specific design with finish in the same material, help to transmit certain sense of esportividade. The Brabus Ultimate E Concept was developed jointly with Kreisel Electric, an Austrian company known in the industry for projects such as the Mercedes-Benz G Class electric. The small ecological urban model sets a weight on the 1,085-kilogram scale.

Regarding the mechanical part, the Ultimate E Concept created by Brabus has an electric motor of 204 hp and 350 Nm of maximum torque powered by the energy stored in the 22 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which offers a range of 160 km . Thanks to this mechanics, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km / h.

After the renovation of the Smart models, the top of the line had been empty. Historically, Daimler’s brand relationship with Brabus has always allowed them to offer very small vehicles, but never neglected performance. The Smart Brabus line, which receives a more sporty and exclusive treatment, will be presented at the Beijing Motor Show and will feature Brabus versions of the Smart ForTwo, ForTwo Cabrio and ForFour.

At first glance the outside differences are obvious. In general, it looks more robust and sharp thanks to a larger front bumper and a rear that introduces a matte gray diffuser that brings the two chrome exhaust ports integrated. Brabus ‘Monoblock’ wheels also have a matte finish and come with 16 or 17 inches depending on the model, giving the sporty touch.

The engine worked by Brabus on the three small models is a turbo three-cylinder 0.9-liter block. Despite its small size, it develops 109 hp at 5,750 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The Smart ForTwo and ForTwo Cabrio accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.5 seconds, while the Smart ForFour makes the same sprint in 10.5 seconds. The maximum speed of the two-seat models is 165 km / h and four-seater is 180 km / h.

In addition to the increased power, the Smart Brabus will also benefit from a faster, more precise, six-speed automatic double-clutch transmission. They also have a more sportive suspension to improve their behavior and have a readjustment of ESP. In addition, they present a new finish that adds more sportiness to the interior of the models, the Xclusive.

The Smart Xclusive will feature a complete outfit that includes black perforated Nappa leather upholstery and gray stitching for your heated sports seats. The instrumentation is also upholstered with leather and fabric, featuring Brabus-specific watches. As an equipment, it will feature standard LED lights, parking sensors and a removable storage box for storing things on ForFour.

The three small sports are at the Beijing Motor Show this week and their marketing is due to start in July. For Germany, prices have already been announced: the Smart ForTwo Brabus starts at 19,710 euros, the Smart ForTwo Cabrio Brabus at 22,970 euros and the Smart ForFwo Brabus at 20,520 euros. For all customers who opt for the Xclusive finish, the price will be increased by 3,000 euros in all versions.

Smart confirms its presence at the Paris Motor Show, and reveals the electric versions of its fortwo, fortwo cabrio and forfour.

In an important milestone for the brand, smart ensures that it will be “the only one in the world to offer its line of models with both combustion engines and purely electric”. Also on the subject of exclusivity, smart also informs that the fortwo cabrio will be the only electric convertible in the market when it is launched.

The three models will share the same electric motor of 61 kW / 81 hp and 160 Nm of torque, combined with a lithium-ion battery of 17.6 kWh with a range of 160 km in the fortwo and 155 km in the two other types of body .

Thanks to that combination, the fortwo accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.5 seconds, while the cabriolet and the forfour will make the same sprint in 11.8 seconds and 12.7 seconds, respectively. The maximum speed will be limited in all of them to 130 km / h.

Regarding battery charging, smart offers a high-performance on-board charger option that allows you to recharge your batteries up to twice as fast – depending on the country and the power supply network. With the new quick charger of 22 kW (optional from 2017), the vehicle can be fully recharged in less than 45 minutes through a three-phase socket. In the new era of electric, this is how they can begin to gain more relevance in the market.

With a single gear transmission, built at the Renault factory in Clèon, in the north of France, it also has an ECO mode for better use of the batteries. This mode is designed for more efficient driving by limiting the maximum speed and accelerator pedal reaction curve while the energy recovery level due to deceleration or braking is at its maximum. When connected to the mains, it also allows this energy to be used to pre-ambient the interior through the air conditioning system, giving the possibility of heating or cooling the cabin without this having an impact on the autonomy. The launch in Europe will be in early 2017.
